you have one plug to plug in to your wall outlet with an electrical box you attach on top of the nightstand. 2 outlets for lamps/alarm clock and a usb plug for your phone or table. 2 drawers and one open shelf stand. the only thing I would have liked to be different is the circuit board to be more to one end so you would have more room on the top or have a pull out shelf in place of the top drawer to sit a laptop on. or possible include a plastic piece to attach to the open hole on the top of the nightstand, just in case you do not want to attach the electrical plug-in outlet to it. however, with that being said I would not put this in a child’s room because of the electrical box that attaches on top. for fear of liquid getting spilled on it. that’s why I said attach a plastic piece to top and put the box somewhere where no liquid will be spilled on it.
