This was perfect for connecting 8 AWG wire under the hood for a trunk mounted amp. This model is sold under many names but the design is solid and affordable. If you use the correct wire size, the silicone rings on the caps seal well. O-rings on the fuse side of the caps add to the water resistance. The connectors have internal spring clips to maintain good contact with the fuse. I’ve had one of these mounted for a few years in my other car and it still looks brand new and maintains a solid connection. Your best bet is to mount it higher up in engine compartment away from heat and constant water spray. It can handle the occasional spray from engine cleaning. With the included hex key and two fuses, this was a good deal.
