The headline pretty much says it all – All Balls makes some of the best, if not THE best aftermarket gasket/rebuild kits on the market. The gaskets are 100% perfectly formed with no deviation from specifications, and all new bolts/nuts/screws are always provided with the kit. The downside is they don’t provide instructions for their kits anywhere I can see, so if you’re not confident with a specific carb, especially if you tore it down before ordering parts and didn’t document the disassembly with photos, it can be challenging to decide where some of the pieces are supposed to go.That said, this time I was rebuilding a Keihin FCR 3900F for a 2007 KTM 525 EXC, I used the Accelerator Pump kit, the main rebuild kit, and the “Keihin says you will never need to do this” mid-body kit. All Balls are either the only or at least one of the few manufacturers of the mid-body kit for Keihin FCR carbs. Both times I’ve had weird problems with an FCR, it’s turned out that the mid-body gaskets were contributing to the problem.
