For lighter brake pedal applications, such as normal street driving, there was essentially no difference. But for strong applications of the brake pedal, it was quite evident the firewall flexes quite a bit. My FRS now feels like it went pass linear braking to exponential braking, as if Subaru had already accounted for the flex for the brake booster design.The part is very heavy gauge steel. I didn’t like how it uses just two flimsy M8 screws to fasten to the strut tower. I wanted to drill a third hole to take advantage of the third available mounting nut already on the stut tower, but Grimmspeed put a fine CNC cutout of their logo there, making that impossible. That logo probably also doubled the cost of this item. Not cool.
